I Put a New Spin on an Old Design...

I wanted to share a few designs I worked on this summer in my own space, and for a few clients.  This was a cool way to put a "NEW SPIN on an old Design."  I call this, the Peacock Space...Tell me what you think!!  ~SID

About Home Design Trends

I recently read an article that HGTV's Candice Olson commented on regarding design trends, and I couldn't agree more!  She said to stay away from the term trend altogether, and if you're interested in changing out some of your interiors, then do so with your accessories rather than repainting and buying new furniture just to have the trend change in 6 months.  This is exactly what I did this winter!  I rearranged the furniture a bit, changed out a few of the pillows, changed the mantle arrangement, added a matching throw and a few orchids to bring the room into a nice cozy winter scene!

I also began designing a game/billards room while creating a lounge space in the entry way just outside the entertainment area.  You'll see a variety of textures, colors, and themes, including using my favorite zebra and black and white prints as additional accents which help add to the ecclectic style that's totally me!  Please let me know if "She Inspired Design" with you!!

Getting Started!!

Welcome friends!

This blog will be a way to showcase my design finds, and to get your opinions and ideas by sharing your comments.  I would also like the blog to be a medium for anyone who simply needs someone like me to search for inexpensive items for their decorative needs, as well as to help INSPIRE your design.

For starters, I'll simply display a few pictures of some designs I've INSPIRED, and we'll go from there...SHE INSPIRES DESIGN!!!

Loves ya!
